How Trouvé's Drop System Works

Trouvé turns your city into a game. At the heart of that experience is the **drop**: a reward placed at a real-world location that you can claim when you visit. Here’s how the drop system works from start to finish.

What is a drop?

A drop is a reward (or set of rewards) tied to a single physical location—usually a partner business. Drops show up as markers on the Trouvé map. Each drop has a reward type and amount: Zapp (in-app currency) or a gift card. When you’re close enough to the location, you can open the drop details and tap **Claim** to try to claim it.

Drops are placed by Trouvé and our partner businesses. Every drop is at an owner-operated local spot—no chains, no big boxes. The idea is to get you out into your city and into places worth knowing.

How to find drops

Open the **Map** tab in the Trouvé app. You’ll see drop markers around you. Tap a marker to open the drop details: what you can earn (Zapp or gift card), the business name, and any extra info. You can also use the map to plan a route and hit several drops in one trip.

New drops are added regularly. In Missoula, we’re working with local businesses to place drops across downtown and beyond—so there’s always something new to find.

How to claim a drop

1. **Go to the location.** You need to be at (or very near) the drop’s real-world spot. The app uses your location to check that you’re there. 2. **Open the drop details.** Tap the marker on the map to open the drop screen. 3. **Tap Claim.** Hold the Claim button and complete the claim. If the system accepts it, you get the reward right away—Zapp is added to your balance, and gift cards are handled according to the drop’s terms.

Each drop can generally only be claimed once by one user. So if a drop is still on the map, it’s still available.

What you earn: Zapp and gift cards

- **Zapp** is Trouvé’s in-app currency. It has no cash value by itself. You earn Zapp by claiming drops and by claiming your daily reward on the Map tab. You spend Zapp in the **Loot** tab on profile titles, username colors, sweepstakes entries, and business offers (including redeeming Zapp for gift cards). Check the Account screen for options. - **Gift cards** are cash-equivalent redemptions (e.g. Amazon). Some drops reward gift cards directly. There are no cash payouts on Trouvé.

No QR codes, no receipts

You don’t scan a QR code or show a receipt to claim. You just go to the place and claim in the app. That keeps the experience simple and makes every drop a real visit, not a drive-by scan.
